Congratulations to our Cutting Edge athletes who competed in the Ontario Provincial Fencing championships held at RMC this past weekend.

Matthias Leuprecht won gold in junior men’s sabre and silver in cadet, while Bill Mason took the gold in Vet 60+ sabre.

We also had a number of top 8 results: Michael Mussari was 5th in junior men’s epee, Danielle Burghgraef was 5th in junior women’s sabre, Caroline Whitehead was 5th in U15 women’s sabre and 7th in cadet, and Bill Mason was 7th in veterans men’s sabre.

Registration for session 2 of all programs is now open. Mini-Musketeers, Youth Learn to Fence & Adult Learn to Fence classes will all begin the week of Jan 11th.

Cutting Edge athletes competed at the Canada Cup in Gatineau this weekend. While no medals were won this time, our fencers still achieved some excellent results.

Caroline Whitehead – 7th in U15 women’s sabre
Danielle Burghgraef – 10th in junior & 15th in senior women’s sabre
Michael Mussari – 12th in junior & 14th in senior men’s epee
Zaq Quinsey – 12th in cadet men’s epee
David Eliot – 14th in junior men’s epee
