Congratulations to David Eliot who was given the Ontario Games Team Spirit award yesterday. David also won a gold medal in team épée for the third year in a row while Danielle Burghgraef won silver in team sabre.  In total, Cutting Edge athletes won 5 medals at this Ontario Games.
Congratulations to Danielle Burghgraef  who won the gold medal in cadet women’s sabre at the Ontario Summer Games on Saturday in Windsor.
Congratulations to Matthias Leuprecht who won the gold in U15 men’s sabre yesterday at the Ontario Summer Games in Windsor. He also took the silver in cadet, just missing a second gold after a 15-14 loss in the final.

Four athletes from Cutting Edge Fencing have qualified for this year’s Ontario Summer Games, which will take place in Windsor from August 7-10. Danielle Burghgraef will enter this event ranked number 1 in women’s sabre, Michael Mussari is ranked 3rd in men’s épée, while David Eliot and Matthias Leuprecht are ranked 4th in men’s épée and sabre respectively. All four are expected to challenge for medals in their respective events. Another team member, Zaq Quinsey, is an alternate in the men’s épée event.
